What We Do

Smallholder farmers in Ghana face challenges such as limited access to improved seeds, scarce mechanization services, and low technical knowledge. Without access to certified seeds and climate-smart technologies, many farmers experience low yields and remain vulnerable to climate shocks. The absence of affordable tractor services makes land preparation labour-intensive and less efficient, particularly for women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

Furthermore, limited business skills and weak advocacy structures restrict farmers’ ability to thrive in competitive markets and influence the policies that shape their livelihoods. At Shallom Agro Services, we work to bridge these gaps—improving productivity, enhancing resilience, and empowering rural communities through sustainable and inclusive agricultural solutions.

Seed production and dissemination, and awareness creation

We produce and supply certified, climate-resilient seeds that help smallholder farmers improve yields and adapt to changing weather patterns. Alongside seed dissemination, we engage in awareness-creation campaigns to educate farmers on the importance of using high-quality inputs to boost productivity and food security.

Organizing Technology demonstrations

We organize on-farm technology demonstrations to showcase innovative, climate-smart farming practices. These demonstrations provide farmers with practical exposure to new agricultural technologies, encouraging faster adoption and helping them optimize their production methods.

Providing tractor ploughing services to smallholder farmers

We offer affordable tractor ploughing services to smallholder farmers, reducing the burden of manual labor and enabling timely land preparation. Our mechanization support increases efficiency, expands cultivated acreage, and ultimately improves farm incomes.

Policy advocacy

We champion the interests of smallholder farmers through active policy advocacy, working with stakeholders to create enabling environments for inclusive agricultural growth. Our efforts aim to influence policies that support access to inputs, fair market opportunities, rural financing, and climate resilience for farming communities.

Providing business and technical capacity building and training opportunities (BDS) for smallholder farmers (women, youth and persons with disabilities)

Through tailored business development services (BDS), Shallom Agro equips smallholder farmers—especially women, youth, and persons with disabilities—with the technical, financial, and entrepreneurial skills needed to run profitable and resilient farming enterprises. Training programs cover good agricultural practices (GAP), financial literacy, agribusiness management, and leadership development.
